Here is a rare opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Team, based in our South Melbourne HQ. Where no 2 days are the same, as the Marketing Manager you will ensure Darling Group is a digital leader.

Develop and deliver the strategic marketing plan for Darling Group’s existing and future brands to drive growth, increase brand awareness and engagement with our guests. You will be responsible for all areas of marketing, public relations and internal and external communications – partnering closely with the Head of Marketing and Management teams to establish innovative, effective and high reach marketing and communication activities to positively impact business performance, employee and guest experiences.

Maximise dollar spend, lead, coach and mentor direct reports completing the day-to-day marketing and communication tasks, manage and make accountable the external marketing consultants engaged by Darling Group, as well as (but not limited to) the below:

The Role:

  • To ensure Darling Group is a digital leader in connecting, engaging and converting consumers
  • Effectively deliver & implement on-time and on-budget digital programs that enable the business to meet agreed digital targets such as time on site, monthly traffic numbers, and conversion metrics
  • Develop and implement digital content strategies.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Scope & lead digital initiatives from a new technology, consumer user experience and marketing perspective
  • Lead the end to end acquisition and retargeting performance media program for Darling Group and its brands.
  • Write user functional specifications related to website development and manage in house front end and third party integration developers
  • In conjunction with the Marketing & Content Managers, build & optimise landing pages, microsites, promotional activity and timely content updates
  • Brainstorm new and creative user and revenue growth strategies
  • Plan and execute web, SEO/SEM, marketing database & email campaigns
  • Manage the digital marketing calendar, ensure cohesion with campaigns and content plans
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing to ensure alignment with ATL promotional & brand activities.
  • Manage & drive digital communications for Darling Group brand prospects & repeat guests including implementation of e-communications plans
  • Manage Darling Group databases & develop strategies for database acquisition
  • Development of online creative concepts
  • Work collaboratively with external digital & development agencies to roll-out new technology & drive performance and results

Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive marketing experience with minimum of 3 years experience as a Marketing Manager or similar. Experience in the Hospitality industry preferred.
  • Experience in strategic planning and effectively driving the vision.
  • Exceptional level of business acumen and high-level ability to analyse data and make recommendations based on data driven insights.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the capability to multitask in a high energy and fast paced environment.
  • Experience/familiarity with marketing technology and practices including: audience targeting, media/funnel optimisation, SEO, analytics and content marketing.
  • Experience in digital and marketing campaigns.
  • Proven analytical skills and problem solving ability.
  • Incredible attention to detail and commitment to ensure marketing and brand guidelines are created, developed, reviewed, monitored and adhered to.
  • Sophisticated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across different brands and within different cultures and teams.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with all internal departments, external agencies, suppliers and business partners.
  • Demonstrated innovative approach to business with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Excellent team player and exhibit a high level of motivation and drive
  • High level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about people, hospitality and experiences.
  • Bachelor in Marketing (or similar qualification).
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced understanding and proficiency in social media applications – proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite is highly regarded.
