Marketing Manager

Melbourne

Darling Group is looking for a Marketing Manager to lead and own marketing across our portfolio of eleven hospitality venues.

  • Lead marketing across eleven hospitality venues
  • Senior role reporting to the Creative Director
  • Real authority over what we run and why

Job description

This is a senior, accountable role for someone who has already run marketing at scale, across multiple venues or brands, and who can balance commercial planning with hands-on execution. You will operate as the most senior marketing operator in the business below the Creative Director, responsible for what we run, when we run it, what it returns, and the standard of what goes out.

You will own marketing across a multi-venue hospitality group, reporting directly to the Creative Director and leading a small team across content production, social and design.

This role exists to bring planning, structure and measurement to marketing. You are responsible for the calendar, the campaigns that sit on it, the guest database behind them, and the reporting that tells the business whether any of it worked.

In the role you will:

  • Own the rolling marketing calendar across all eleven venues
  • Plan campaigns against commercial objectives, not activity for its own sake
  • Run seasonal campaigns end to end: offer, channels, booking path, follow-up
  • Own the guest database and eDM program in SevenRooms, including segmentation and automated flows
  • Build and issue monthly venue-level reporting the business actually uses
  • Lead and direct the content, social and design team
  • Set clear priorities, pacing and quality standards across the portfolio
  • Approve what goes live and hold the quality bar
  • Brief and direct external photographers, videographers and creators where required
  • Support group paid media with offers, assets, landing pages and tracking
  • Hold lead times and remove last-minute campaign decisions
  • Work with venue managers on local activity and commercial opportunities

What you'll Bring

  • Five or more years in marketing, with at least two leading a team
  • Proven experience owning marketing across multiple venues, locations or brands
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, events or another multi-site consumer business
  • Demonstrated campaign ownership from commercial objective through to measured result
  • Strong CRM and email marketing experience, ideally SevenRooms, Klaviyo or Mailchimp
  • Confident reading performance data from Meta, Google Analytics and booking systems
  • Experience directing creative output, including briefing, feedback and approvals

About you:

  • You think in systems and calendars, not weeks
  • You plan forward, and you protect the plan
  • You are comfortable making decisions and holding a line
  • You are comfortable being measured on commercial outcomes
  • You write clearly and commercially
  • You know when to push for performance and when to protect the brand
  • You are calm under pressure and not reactive by default
  • You are confident operating with autonomy and ownership

What we offer

  • Lead marketing across some of Melbourne’s most recognisable hospitality venues
  • Work directly with senior creative leadership
  • Build a marketing function with structure and measurement at its centre
  • Operate in a high-trust, high-accountability environment
  • Real authority over what we run and why, not just responsibility for delivering it
