About the Role:

The Events Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and managing the overall, sales and operations of special events at Darling Group venues. You will be required to generate sales and engage all parts of the business to service enquiries maintaining relationships with events clients, create menus with costings as well as ensuring after-sales feedback. The position also requires partnering with the wider Events and Venue teams to ensure each event is executed within our brand culture and to the guests’ expectations.


Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential
  • Drive and target business to stimulate awareness of the Darling Group venues as event spaces
  • Proven ​tactical sales skills as well as high attention to detail
  • Experience using OpenTable or similar reservations system is advantageous
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets and budgets
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of function and events offerings, and ability to work with Head Chefs and Venue Managers regarding food and beverage offers
  • Well-developed planning and organisation skills
  • Ensuring continued satisfaction and success for the future growth of Darling Group.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with proven ability to build effective professional relationships
  • High level of attention to detail and exceptional communication skills

You will also need to identify new opportunities for Business Development, ensuring maximum occupancy of venue spaces. You will partner with our Events Manager to develop new initiatives for growth in your portfolio of venues.
